when maging metal drags is it better to use fire blast or fire bolt with chaos gauntlets and would the drops help pay for the runes needed? And plz dont suggest ranging i range them all the time just want some mage and hp exp =). also im 85 mage if that helps at all

Fire bolt, it's like 2.5 times cheaper and in my experience the drops don't really pay for the runes (but then again I have horrible luck) but the cost is fairly minimal so you should be fine.

I used Fire Wave to get some mage levels. Broke even as well.

 

 

 

If you don't have the option of wave spells then use the bolt spells.
