Level 108, what is your suggestion?

Featured Replies

Ok a quick question. I want to get 90 attack and defense. What should I train on to get these stats?

I want something that is good xp and doesn't take loads of banking for food/pots. Thank you, Kezza

Here are my stats:

Slayer

Or if you have to, bandits or something, but your slayer is pretty low for your level.

Yes but slayer isn't all that great xp and takes forEVER to train. (Also it does require lots of pots and food depending on what your fighting)

It's good xp, and doesn't take forever. It makes training more interesting instead of powerleveling on just one thing, you can get great drops, and it's free xp.

Actually, I posted on a thread similar to this not long ago. The thread starter was a low level, but it still has all the points on training slayer, let me find it. Just focus on the bits when people talk about slayer.

Ok but I want to power level. I want to get those stats as fast as possible. What is your suggestion on the one monster I should train on? Slayer is a good idea but I think I'll get it when i try to get 99 atk and str and def. =P

That would be my 4th recommendation.

1) Slayer

2) Zombie Monkies

3) Ghost Warriors

4) DT skeletons.

I got 99 str almost 1 year ago at DT skeletons. I only have 2 regrets. 1) I picked str over attack 2) I didn't slay it

Thats helpful. I know I should really do slayer but I lose too much xp per hour =\. And its not very convincing to me because what would I ever use slayer for in the future?

you will get about 65-70k exp an hour slaying with those stats. well worth it imo

Honestly, I remember everyone saying the same thing about Slaying after 85 before Dark Bow were released. The argument was, "Why bother? Dark beasts are worthless anyway". Then d bow came out and guess who got rich? The people who bothered to raise slayer.

Anyway, if you have a black mask and Duradel isn't giving you Iron dragons or something, you can just about match normal training methods, and usually profit too. The extra total levels are always nice also, right?

For your consideration:

Zombie Monkeys: 100k+ hour

Ghost Warriors: 70k+ hour, and a few hundred k profit

DT skeletons: 70k+ hour

Slayer: Average 65k hour, plus about 15k slayer xp, plus ranged xp from cannon.

Yea but at that rate if I play 3 hours a day straight slayer killing, it would take me 56 days to get 85 slayer.

That was assuming you wanted maximum melee xp, if you want better slayer xp cannon your tasks. Go to Zarfot's RSOF guide and check out those xp rates.

He gives a much better explanation of why to slay than I ever will. The xp rates are on pages 9+, or whenever the log begins. He also states way to get the maximum/most efficient slayer xp per hour.

A lot of ppl do that because it looks like Slayer is an extension of the regular melee skills. Besides you'll be getting xp in att/str/def while training (if you use melee)
