November 4, 200817 yr Yes, I am aware that Halloween is a pagan holiday, but it isn't Yule. Yule is around December 22...yes, the holiday most Christmas traditions come from is pagan. Christmas should be in early spring as Jesus was born in the lambing season (early March-ish) but that's a topic for another thread. Halloween is Samhain...the pagan new year. I know this because I am a pagan who knows her holidays.

November 9, 200817 yr Yes I knew. And christmas is in the winter because it was (and largely still is) a dark and depressing time. Christmas was put in the winter in this time to cheer people up. Notice the lack of holidays in the summer? Thats because people need alot less cheering up in the summer. And I belive many christmas traditions are also pegan, specificly the tree.
