General Skill Question

Featured Replies

Hey, my membership is ending soon (well, no I still have 2 months, but anyway...) and for the most part I'm just mining rune for spare cash for f2p. But of course hacking away at a rock isn't very exciting, and CW gets boring after a bit.

So I pose my question: What skill can I raise in members that will benefit me the most in f2p? Preferably something that is afk since I will be trying to finish off some homework.

Thank you.

PS: If there is another money-making (afk) method that is close to rune mining please share it here also, although that just sounds too good to be true.

erm u do realise rune mining is one of teh slowest money makers?

Not for me. I get 25-42 rune ore an hour. That's like 500k a while ago at 12k each, but since rune ore is now 17k each...well...

Gratz on 3400 post and i think rune mining is one of your best bets that are "AFK".

Yes, I realize that. But I'd like to raise some skills in my remaining members time too, and I'd like to know which would help me most.

Well...You could try cutting Yews. They are mostly AFK.

The only skill that truly helps (no money factors) would be agility, since it carries over to F2P.

So spend about 2 or 3 days a week training agility. You run longer, gain energy faster. All the stuff you need when skilling in F2P.

But I'd rather do that in nonmembers, not while I'm still a member.

Thank you for that Agility idea! The skill actually totally slipped my mind. At my level (70 or 71 I can't remember but it doesn't make a difference does it?), should I be at Ape Atoll, Wild, or Dorgesh-kaan?

I hear ape atoll is best till about 85 then kaan

Slayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)

Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2

Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning

Ape Atoll until you hit 90. At 90 Dorgesh-Kaan is a better exp/hour than Ape Atoll..

As for the original question I would most definitely go with Agility as it is the only member skill that carries over to F2P.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

As has been said, agility is the only member skill that carries over, so focus on that. If you have time, though, you may want to consider working on non-member skills that are easier to train in member worlds.

Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown; ignorance can be educated and drunkeness sobered, but stupid is forever.

That's what I was initially considering.

Between non-member skills (wc, fish, etc.) which are best for me to train in members?
