The difference between coin share and loot share is that: the effect of coin share is immediate, meaning that you can form a temporarily partnership with another player and split up once a Boss is killed and drop is obtained. November 3, 200817 yr It does give you a message of which item dropped btw. It'll say something like: *Item* dropped and was sold at the G.E., everyone got a share of *amount* coins. My guide: Ring of Wealth explained 8 Dragon Boots (885 kills, 1/111, with RoW)
November 3, 200817 yr The first example given to you was very incorrect. A rune spear, as well as most items, will NOT be split. Only certain valuable items (listed in the KB) will be split. Other items are just assigned to an individual player the same way as lootshare.

Other items are just assigned to an individual player the same way as lootshare. I only use random example, why would I ever bother memorizing what items go to coinshare and what dont? I could as well as use a chicken feather as a coinshare example, but I dont ever bother checking whether it qualifies or not.
