What skill should I train next? (F2P)

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm just having a bit of a dilemma - I'm not sure what skill to train.

I'm pure F2P and have a total level of 896, and my combat level is 77. I have 1700k in gold (1.7m), but I'd like to not spend very much of it - preferably no more than 500k, but it's fine if it's a bit over.

My levels are:

Attack: 62

Strength: 63

Defense: 61

Mining: 59

Smithing: 51

Fishing: 60

Range: 51

Prayer: 45

Cooking: 66

Crafting: 60

Firemaking: 68

Magic: 61

Woodcutting: 75

Runecrafting: 42

Thank you! :D

As a long term goal i'd say 85 mining, yes, it will take time, but it's free and you make money. You could also get runecrafting to 50 and try getting range and crafting up. that's all i can think of.

Goals:

94 magic

94 ranged

55 slayer

Addy gloves-done

Where would a good spot for mining be? Should I powermine iron?

Yeah, powermining iron would be your best option. When you get 60 mining you could mine coal in the mining guild, which is a solid profit.

Thanks for reminding me about the guild ;) I'll look into a few mining levels.

well ur stats look even. id say do wat u like or watever u feel like doing something. dont go and get one skill to 70 because u will lose interest, just switch back and forth. id say maybe mine some for profit.

I'm thinking about training range since that's relatively low, but where would I do that in F2P?

Well, you can always get another mining level by drinking a Dwarven Stout, sold in the Fali Bar. Other then that, there are a lot of easy levels you can buy, such as cooking/crafting/magic/fm/smithing. I would suggest stick with something that makes money, like wc instead of investing in a money pit. Unless you like total level (like me) that is...

Oh and for range train at either moss giants on crandor or ice giants under port sarim, both have safespots and drop big bones

Should I use iron arrows?

I use bronze because then I don't have to worry about picking them up, as picking up the arrows is like 3-4k less xp per hour. If you feel like you need that +1 max hit though, then get iron. Either way, its cheap.
