Void is useful to train range in any circustances, like:

 

 

 

Void + D bow in pking you own badly.

 

Void + Chinning you get 15% more xp.

Anything that doesn't need particularly good defence.

 

 

 

Plus it's nice having the rest of the set, because if you decide to get melee helm as well, then, it's very useful at stuff like waterfiends etc.

Void range is also useful for ranging slayer tasks. Makes the monsters drop a fair amount faster.
