Plank Making Advice.

Featured Replies

I was considering getting my construction up (lowest skill) and also about making some more cash.

I was just wondering about how using the balloon to assist in making planks work, items needed, time saved as well as profit made for one of each type of plank (buying logs or cutting) etc.

Thanks. <3:

Ring of duelling

the quest enlightened journey.

Since you're using up one spot I'd say use a terrorbird or bullant if you have the levels.

Though, I find planking really boring.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Its for aiding in construction and making some cash to even it up a bit.

Also, I spent money on summoning levels! :twss:

Awesome,

you have 57 summoning.

Well, you should have 2 inventory spaces leftover and one with the terrorbirds scroll, tireless run.. (if its needed)

2 is just so its much easier to switch planks with logs between inventories.

But, I thought Kellis and I had a discussion about if Planking is really worth it..

But i have no idea on the time p/inv this way so, it could be.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Again, you scare me.

But my construction fails and I hate wasting cash so I wanted to spend less on it.

Should be like 200-280k from your level to like 50/52..

Either way, efficiency relies on how you make money. If your money making ways are slow, go plank make youngin'

I fail at moneymaking, everybody say '200k/hour' and I make like 70k with better equipment. :|

Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player

I could give you a way to make 200k an hour on the top of my head.

RIGHT NOW. :D *I'll pm if you wanna know one i've been doing a while*

But see the problem is you said with equipment

So I'm guessing either the only ways you know how to make money other than some types of merchanting would be.. Mhing?

Monster hunting.

Correct? :? :? :?

I make money through price manipulation and the occasional barrows trip.

Limited to around 10M total just now (lag when skulled = fail)

So, pretty poor. :ohnoes:

yah, i was gonna say. if you want money. you want to be graahk running.

And if you're going to be bringing in loads of cash via runecrafting, just buy the planks. Use the tip.it calculator to see how many you need, put in a GE order, and presto! Your money has been replaced by many pieces of wood!

Anyway, as to the debate Ray's referring to, basically plank-running is the second choice if you don't have a way of earning lots of money. If you can earn enough to make up for the higher price on the GE, then that's less mind-wearing than plank running. Although I for some reason don't seem to mind walking back and forth to the sawmill, you may tire quickly. If you feel like you're simply losing money far too fast, you can switch to plank-running for a few rounds then go back and post another offer if you feel like it's too slow.

Uh..

Wouldn't laws at Abyss be quicker cash AND xp? I thought Graahks were predominantly for those with 91+ RC.

Can you do around 1.5-2k laws every 40 minutes using the abyss? :ohnoes:

You should first rate how much an hour you can make.

Let's say you can make 500k/hour crafting natures, you wouldn't want to go picking flax to train crafting, you'd want to runecraft until you could buy the flax to train with.
