I was wondering if anyone had a rough idea on how many cannonballs are needed for 83 slayer ,starting from my level(73) and what task should I cannon.

Quite a lot of cannonballs you need for that many levels.

 

If you have enough cash to waste, use them, but don't buy in too big bulks; for two tasks max.
