i got this computer about a month ago, and it played call of duty fine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

them my bro wanted to play battlefeild 1942 on it, so i let him install it. He then came up to me saying it wont work. thinking him being him i thought he hadn't installed it properly. So i uninstalled it and installed it again. i went through it normally.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

chose single player

 

 

 

chose the map

 

 

 

then came up the instructions(with abort or load down the bottom)

 

 

 

i clicked load. it loaded about 5% of the bar, then started up the map. with nothing. only a few sprites, like maybe a tree and part of a fence, nothing else. had to alt+F4 outta it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

then i thought i would try another game. Dungeon siege. it loaded normally.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i started it up.

 

 

 

single player

 

 

 

newgame

 

 

 

designed my chars looks, but couldnt type in a name for her. i just continued.

 

 

 

clicked 'easy' difficulty. here, it crashes

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so why doesnt my comp properly load games?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

it is a pure gaming machine, 1gb ram etc, so it can take it all. just wont load it

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

please help, i cant just play runescape and call of duty the whole time. and im the only person in the house and of all my friends who know anything about computers.

How about some useful info... The specs of the computer would be nice. Reading the stickies would work lol. A hijackthis log please. Also, what kind of vid card and what version of the drivers? And finally, have you gotten directx9c?
