funion987
Many times when I am downloading a fairly large video file or large program, the download reaches completion after a few minutes, but when I open the video or try to install the program, the file is corrupted. Is there any reason why this is happening? Is there anything I can do?
eggzs
Your connection to the server might have been interrupted but it might not be as simple as that. My knowledge on Internet technologies is not as in-depth as mine on hardware but there are plenty of other posters who are.

funion987
No, they are not torrent files. They are mostly .mpg, .wmv, and a lot of [Caution: Executable File]. I'm download them from Firefox.

Interrupted server-side connection or insufficient cache in your Mozilla folder. You should test if it's only related to a site or certain sites, try downloading a test file, either 2mb or 15mb (you can delete it afterwards; It's just for testing the connection) and see if it interrupts in the middle, post back with results You can also download another browser like Opera that allows instant resuming of interrupted files & shows the exact amount transfered [hide=] [/hide]
funion987
It worked perfectly fine. I downloaded and opened the 15 MB image. (It was like a large white image with a few lines that were composed of many colors?)
