July 10, 200521 yr I've tried switching on my pc for the last two days and as I press the power button it doesn't come on. Nothing happens and I know the fuse hasn't blown because I tried a power lead from another pc in it too. It's been like this since Friday night and I can't phone the pc company until tomorrow. Any ideas what's wrong with it? Thanks for any help.

July 11, 200521 yr Nothing happens? No fans, no lights, nothing? Then it's probably PSU-related... If you get lights/fans or whatever, your problem is probably more complicated..
July 11, 200521 yr Thanks for your help. I got it fixed at the computer shop a few minutes ago. It was the PSU had a surge so I need to buy some surge protected plugs for it so it'll never happen again.
July 12, 200521 yr Its always good to have your computer plugged into a surge protector. You are lucky it was just the PSU. I've also seen modems fried during an electric storm too. http://www.strange-facts.com
