RUNESCAPE WORLD EVENT

Featured Replies

Well, I was kinda bored, so I'm kinda doing this without any "solid" ideas in mind. But oh well. Well, i think runescape is getting a bit boring everyday doing the same hack and slash, right click and left click, sitting there watching your inventory grow full of fishes...and...ya. It gets boring for me. Maybe for some it's fun, and yes i admit it was fun at first, but after a couple months, the word "runescape" sorta just...well, dies out in my mind. And it hit me that runescape needed more "special events". i'm not talking about like mimes or spirits, but like, well, where in between the time of the event, you can do something where you can't do any other time in runescape. So, i thought of some fun events that runescape could add later on to get the players more "involved", whether to your liking or not =P. And yes, prepare to have your eyes burn and melt!!!

:::::EVENT 1: the attack of the rubber duck pirates:::::

Background info: Previously, we had the easter event, which was when you had to give out eggs, and your reward was a rubber duck that you could hit people with.yay.

Now, the runescapian pirates want to take them back! :o

Event info:

With the runescapian pirates all over runescape, it is up to you runescapers to get rid of them! Now, these pirates aren't just going to be some easy kill. Yes, you guessed it. They will be like a "boss" where a WHOLE bunch of runescapers have to work together to kill it. When i say bunch, i mean like 50-100+ players trying to kill a single pirate. Now, did i not mention the size of these runescapian pirates? Why, they will be the size of the Kalphite Queen! Yes, very abnormal for a human pirate, but i said "runscapian". AND i yet not told you what "runescapian" means. "runescapian" terms for something that is not "from" the game setting, or should i say, it could be anything. Heck, just say that runescapian means that the creators of runescape made it so that it sort of stands for them. Sorta like "gods". Now, the players who contribute to killing one of the runescapian pirates, will be rewarded depending on their lvl. Here goes.

Stats for the EQ:

the stats for the equipment for the pirate armor will be exactly the same as adament. You need to be at least lvl 51 to wear them though, regardless of your defense stats.

As for the pirate scimitar, the power will be the same for a rune scimitar in the wilderness, but same as a addy outside of wilderness.

After the event, a pirate merchant will appear near the ice cave. Any runescaper who has participated will recieve a pirate face disguise to wear so that you can purchase items from the pirate merchant. If you lose the mask, you can talk to Aggi the witch to make you another one for 5,000 gp. The prices will be of the following.

Pirate gloves: 13,000gp

Pirate boots: 15,000gp

Pirate hat: 17,000gp

Pirate bottom: 23,000gp

Pirate top: 31,000gp

Pirate scimitar: 41,000gp

*Also, the items will be untradable. Just to keep the economy safe :)

other goods at the shop:

pirate grub: 150gp each, unlimited stock (heals 8 hp)

cooked tuna: 200gp each, unlimited stock

cooked lobster: 310gp each, unlimited stock

(if the prices are too cheap to crash the economy, then please tell, don't flame, thanks. This was meant to provide emergency means of food in the ice cave.)

locations for the runescapian pirates:

Lvl 3~10: pirate lvl is 30, with 10,000 hp.

Lvl 21~30: pirate lvl is 60, with 15,000 hp.

Lvl 31~40: pirate lvl is 70, with 17,000 hp.

as big as the hp may sound, these pirates got crappy defense, and REAL good atk and str. so you might wanna just bring 3 items and lots of food and pots. lol. that's why we want everyone in runescape to workk together to beat these guy's down. for your rubber duck's sake. AND for the sake of the privilage to use and pirate shop and wear the armor =P, for those who missed easter, that is. The locations of the runescapian pirates will be depended upon where most the the lvl ranges are. For example, the lvl 30 pirate will be around the cows and chickens. This won't be a boring hack and slash at hp. Nope, you're gonna die at least a couple times, say 10? AND, these pirates will use lots of special skills you never seen before, like scimitar tornado, where it spins with the scimitar and does damage to multiple players. Also note that they can KO you in one hit. Which will drive the boredom away. ALso, if you atk the pirate only ONCE, you will have considered to have participated. BUT, the top 30 people of each world of each pirate to do the most damage overall, even when u log out, will get the full pirate set. A reward for your hard work :). That also means there will be a set of pirates in EVERY world. And once u get into the top 30, which you will be notified with, you cannot get into the top 30 again. That will make it more fair for other players. That's about it for my idea, so please comment.

Sup noobs.

i agree that runescape needs more fun stuff implemented so I'll post an idea too :D

Maybe like once a month, there can be an ENOURMOUS fight. Jagex can create a server that can hold up to like 20k people. It would just be an enourmous circle however. This server would be closed until there is a fight scheduled. It would be open all day, and when you log in, you're automatically stuck with iron armor. Then just go around killing as many ppl as possible :D :D . *keeps dreaming about such a great event*

hehe. I like your idea too. (make it f2p? )

knightsoforderse9.png

already is f2p =P. but of course, the higher lvls would be located in the wildies.

Sup noobs.

hmm... Intresting idea. They were chickens not ducks by the way.

I have a seperate but similar idea...(havent posted yet, but will now)

With hp like that they must have a defence of about 0 and that would mean every hit would connect and do max damage.

And that will give people anouther reason to actually participate, seeing as it would be a very nice set of exp :D

well with 40k exp, you' gain like 10 levels per battle  . I say make it so you get exp like random events. Only like 1exp for every 20 hits.

knightsoforderse9.png
  • Author

keep in mind that there is one of each only in EVERY world. and the exp rate would be 3 exp per 20 damage. would that be more fair?

Sup noobs.

well a battle could easily tae an hour and probly more, so I say make it where its always sure max damage.

  • Author

no no no. i want it so that the next day you wake up, it's still there. for a whole week. so that many others will get a chance. lol.

Sup noobs.

Not very many people would be happy if they spent an hour and a half doing 40k damage to a monster and dont get any more than 6k experience now would they?

thats if it went with Kaibani's exp.

If we went with Kat 1 for every 20 they would get a meer 2k exp for killing something with 40k hp

If you want people to try and kill these things then give them the full exp, or at very least half.

  • Author

Well, i want the people to fight it for fun, as it won't be an easy pick like i said. I already said that the fight would be dangerous and would take long, unlike a short and boring fight with a chicken. It's going to be like a Kalphite Queen trip. Besides, it's the reward's that you're going for :P

Sup noobs.

i love those ideas, and would be great. JAgex really needs to be more interactive with its players, to keep them entertaining and playing longer. Ive always thought it would be fun to have world wide random events, such as yours ideas.

ShadowSam19.png

I like the idea of a new monster/NPC that players have to team up and fight, but "giant pirates" seem rather silly. You compared it to fighting the Kalphite Queen, so I say make the monster non-human. Maybe ogre-ish is ok.

But, if you want to keep the whole pirate theme (which I think you do), I'd say instead of one "giant pirate," (lol) it oughta be hordes of pirates. Regular-sized pirates :)

sorry for the double post :)

NO, RUNECSAPIAN PIRATES WILL STAY AS GIANT. LOL. Well i thought about making an army of pirates before i thought of giant, and i thought, well, why not just make it a war? But a war wasn't what i was looking for, so i decided to make "giant" pirates. And yes they are human and no they will not be an ogre type. =P

Sup noobs.

how big are we talking here???

I'm sure he wants them to appear considerably bigger than greater demons and dragons and such. Problem is, if they get too big, you won't be able to see the whole thing unless you're looking from a totally overhead angle. :)

Hey, I don't mind what race they are, I just don't see JAGeX making a "giant pirate" character. If they make a new, huge enemy to fight, it would be a monster, i.e. demon-ish, dragon-ish, etc., not human.
