Elfio
I ordered a laptop online for college and I would like to transfer alot of videos/files/music from my current computer to my laptop. There are complex folder systems and many big files. Is there a way to connect my computers together or transfer the files between them while keeping the folders intact? I've emailed things to myself and burned cds in the past, but those destroy folders and are inefficient with something of this magnitude. Thanks, Elfio
thebeave
You would need to have a network router to do this I believe. And you would also need to have LAN ports on both computers. I could be wrong though, someone correct me if I am. http://www.strange-facts.com
Sweex
Fastest = Network them All you need is an ethernet card or port on your PC, and one on your Laptop. Buy a 1 or 2 metre Crossover network cable, emphasis on the crossover. Connect one end to the PC, other end to the Laptop and set up file sharing etc... Read help in windows, if it's XP on both it'd be easier.
