I was bored and I decided to check on this for you. It does seem that there are some listings which describe the gloves purchased through the chest as quest items (since they're unlocked after different parts of the quest (the subquests) are finished) - and some are not listed as such. I'm guessing that's what you meant about discrepancies and that only. I checked the prices and they all look right to me.
