I've had a similer idea only much simpler.Basically you edge weapons with diamond,ruby and dragonstone edges,this is done by first crushing the gem by using it with a pestle and mortar(requires same crafting level as cutting it) then using the powder with any bladed weapon,any weapon that is poisoned canNOT be bladed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here is how it would work:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.Ruby edge gives a +5 strength bonus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.Diamond edge gives a +1 prayer bonues,a +5 slash bonus and a +3 str bonus

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.Dragonstone edge gives a +3 prayer bonus,a +7 slash bonus and a +5 str bonus

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Simple yet effective

 

 

 

P.S:the powder or edged weapon is not tradeable,you can remove the edge off a weapon by using it with a furnace.No weapon below mithril can be edged.
