SomeWelshGuy
Depends what you mean by hit often. I would say at least level 50+, preferably 60+. Retired Tip.It Crew Mapper.

SomeWelshGuy
I would say 60+ range should be ample, although what's your equipment? You will also have a hard time getting 99 range on experiments. Retired Tip.It Crew Mapper.

SomeWelshGuy
Experiments are fine for now, but trust me, by the time you reach around 70, you will not want to power train range for a very long time. Retired Tip.It Crew Mapper.

Nel Tu Oderschvank
Hitting often, or in other words, hitting lesser 0s, has nothing to do with Ranging lvl I think; it's more to do with the type of equipment that gives the Range bonus. But yet, your Ranging level also determines what type of equipment you can wear so... :-k maybe you can try Yaks (if you have access to Neitiznot) or the good ol' Flesh Crawlers until you can wear better d'hide armour or something. I guess 50 would be a good start since you will be able to wear blue d'hide by then which gives more bonus than the green one.
Kellis
Once you hit 70-75, consider switching over to Aviansies. They're slower experience, true, but they're fun and interesting, they DEFINITELY earn a profit, and money earned from them can be spent on chins to get the last 10 or so levels much faster. And yeah, always wear the best d'hide you can, pick up some snakeskin boots, remember to have Ava's Accumulator (once you hit 50, for now you should have Ava's Attractor, the lesser version), and consider using arrows with a shortbow for the increased range attack bonus over bronze knives if you're hitting a lot of 0s. Im pretty sure that higher range lvl give an accuracy boost because then 75 range lvl would be just as good as 99 not including the damage done. Pureprayer, you're awesome. All along I thought that only Range bonus affects accuracy however, i just found out that Pureprayer you are correct. Higher ranger level also determines a better accuracy! This is coming straight from the JAGeX game manual. "Accuracy: Your accuracy when ranging determines how often you inflict damage on your opponent. It will increase as you achieve a higher Ranged level. Your accuracy will also depend on all the items you have wielded, i.e. weapons and armour and the Ranged bonuses they provide. This is the equivalent to a melee fighter's Attack skill." :)
