Allbot
i was just wondering is it more expensive to train summoning with green charms than crimsons?
chris924
green are more expensive per xp. Crimsons are the best choice because they are more efficient to use than greens and easier to get than blues.

chris924
well, you get 70% of the shards back regardless of the pouch you turn in. I personally have always used my greens in addition to the crimsons. If you break it down it does cost more, for example: excluding tertiary ingredients ibis: green charm, 109 shards (x .3 ~33) for 98.8 xp so that is 33x25gp=825 for 98.8xp or ~8.4gp per xp bloated leach: crimson charm, 117 shards (x .3 ~35) for 215.2 xp so that is 35x25gp=875 for 215.2 xp or ~4.1gp per xp. EDIT: as far as using the greens, I usually tried to pick pouches that used cheaper ingredients to offset the increased cost per xp...like the ibis or fruit bats for example. bunyip vs. fruitbat bunyip= 33 (110 x .3) shards and 1 raw shark (1000-1100gp) totals ~1825-1900gp for 119.2 xp (15.5 gp per xp) fruitbat= 39 (130 x .3) shards and a banana (~70 gp) totals ~1045gp for 121.1 xp (8.6 gp per xp)
Inuashakent
The 70% shards trade, in theory, has little affect on the difference between Crimsons and Greens. You subtract 70% from each of them, so that would still be the same ratio of cost. Sure, if Green charms gave more xp than Crimson charms it would make a big difference, but it doesn't. It's more costly, gives less xp, and generally harder to obtain in mass. (Waterfiends, anyone?)
