kanti
i've just returned from a rather long break, and i feel something of a noob. quite a lot of changes, and i really can't remember how to play. i stopped playing just around the time player houses came out, if thats any help. i just have a few questions, would appreciate answers to help me get back into the game :) firstly, i need some money :P most of my noncombat skills are a bit low, my strongest seem to be 65 fletching and 64 woodcutting, can i make profit from these skills? and how? secondly, the grand exchange..... wtf? i understand its some kind of marketplace, but i had a look and i really don't get how to use it :/ also there seems to be a new combat stat "summoning". is this particularly useful? will i need to level it up to not get pwnt? lastly, combat training, defense to be specific. i'd really like to get into some of that nice looking dragon armor, but i need 2 more levels in defense. any advice on where to go? and is grinding npcs the only way to level it up? combat level 74, i'm wearing full rune with a granite shield and a dragon longsword, the purple gem amulet and ring (can't remember name) str 60 atk 63 def 58 mag 55 rng 41 pray 38 thanks for your patience with what must seem pretty noobish questions :) Life is random... so am I! Where is your sense of comuntiy sprit tip.it'ers? Anway... i've just returned from a rather long break, and i feel something of a noob. quite a lot of changes, and i really can't remember how to play. i stopped playing just around the time player houses came out, if thats any help. i just have a few questions, would appreciate answers to help me get back into the game :) firstly, i need some money :P most of my noncombat skills are a bit low, my strongest seem to be 65 fletching and 64 woodcutting, can i make profit from these skills? and how? Best would be to collect swamp tar from lumbridge swamp or pick frogs near gnome stronghold secondly, the grand exchange..... wtf? i understand its some kind of marketplace, but i had a look and i really don't get how to use it :/ Basically, you can use it to sell and buy items thorugh an intermediary (which is the ge), you dont have to go looking for people. also there seems to be a new combat stat "summoning". is this particularly useful? will i need to level it up to not get pwnt? No summoning is not generally used in combat too much (that is PvP), but more general uses of BoB, (beasts of burden carry stuff around for you), teleportation, generally other useful quirky things like extra fish, basically changes gathering. Also certain creatures have healing abilitys that are helpful when training. lastly, combat training, defense to be specific. i'd really like to get into some of that nice looking dragon armor, but i need 2 more levels in defense. any advice on where to go? and is grinding npcs the only way to level it up? Yup! Fastest Would be yaks or experiments, but if you have done those quest (Fenkenstrain and Fremmy Isles), youre best bet would be Fleshcrawlers in SoS combat level 74, i'm wearing full rune with a granite shield get obsidian shield when you get 60 def, and get a combat bracelet and a dragon longsword, the purple gem amulet and ring (can't remember name) str 60 atk 63 def 58 mag 55 rng 41 pray 38 thanks for your patience You mean MY patience (only one reply here !) with what must seem pretty noobish questions :) Anway, Goodluck ;)
