Trees, fruit trees, and herbs. Use supercompost and magic secateurs, unless the trees are worth paying the farmer to watch. (Some are, some aren't.) Rule of thumb: if the cost of the bribe is greater than 10% the cost of the seed, it's not worth bribing and you should just use supercompost.

Thieve master gardners until you build up a good bank of seeds (every kind). Start farming every plot of every kind. Trees and fruit trees especially. The only time you clear a plot is when you have something else to put in it (cuts down on having to weed and drop weeds). Pay the farmer for stuff when the seeds are hard to get or expensive. Only plant the highest seeds you have/can plant level-wise. Learn a good route to take that might let you plant new things at the end of your route in the first ones you planted.

Most of all, be patient. You can't speed up time...paying farmers does help, though, because diseased plants may lose a growing cycle, but at least you don't have to dig it out and plant another (you get no XP for dead plants).

I've raised my farming from 45-70 in 1-2 weeks. I primarily planted trees and fruit trees, but I also planted all allotments and herbs + flowers and bushes and harvested the allotments and herbs once every hour, for as long as you want.

When you can plant certain plants, I would follow this welfare budget:

-Willow Trees

-Curry Trees (can be substituted with Pineapple plants, but will cost 81.3k per run on these alone. MTK will make you break even though. If you don't know what MTK is, don't worry about it and just stick to curries for now.)

-Bushes (optional, provides a nice boost to your experience if you plant them between runs)

-Cacti (this is about 500exp every few hours, but if you pick the spines, you gain 7-8k GP per harvest)

Willow seeds are around 5k each, or 25-26k per 3.6 hours. Curry seeds are a small 2-3k, or 10-15k per 14.6 hours (harvest once a day). The cacti and [higher level] bushes (such as whiteberries and poison ivy) help you break even (not lose money) or even help you profit. Herbs such as avantoe are good for making about 15k per herb patch (if you use supercompost + magic secateurs) and only cost a mere 50-100GP per seed. If you plant allotments, use sweetcorn. They are good for breaking even on the sweetcorn seed expense. Be sure to use supercompost on all allotments and herb patches. For trees, fruit trees, and bushes, pay the farmer to watch them for you; they are your primary experience. For flower patches, I normally frown upon using supercompost, but at your level, it would be a good idea. Just use supercompost on flower patches and plant marigolds, which are 3k per harvest! When making supercompost, either buy willow or maple roots on the GE or use the roots you harvest from your trees. It takes 15 of them per compost bin to make supercompost. It is also 250XP per compost bin when you're collecting 15 buckets full of supercompost. I have also found hops to be a decent amount of experience per harvest as long as you supercompost them.

Keep in mind that the following are useful for farming:

-Magic Secateurs (must finish Fairy Tale pt 1, increases herbs harvested)

-Ectophial (must finish Ghosts Ahoy, use for quick access to a farming area near Ectofuntus)

-Garden Pies (+3 Farming boost)

-Familiars (Compost Mound* or Stranger Plant**)

-Explorer's Ring 3 (Lumbridge/Draynor Diary, use Cabbage Patch)

[Remember these aren't required, but are pretty useful in my opinion.]

Have fun!
