I would wear dragonhide (best you can), neitznot, and a obby shield. very light stuff. Guessing your using the glory/castle wars ring method? You still need to teleport to edgeville to get back so it doesn't save you any charges. I use this method over the house tab/house glory method because it saves me a spot.
