Skipping the puzzle costs 200k. Obviously he was lazy.

I completed the whole quest easily in two hours on my latest account.

On Topic, i died once cause i was stupid enough to melee the boos (comon I had no guide) but even then i only lost 50k worth of runes. you gotta play it safe with quests, especially if there is danger in them.

The esiest way to live if you can pray (but many people have managed without prayer here) is:

 

Wear full proslyte (replace helm with neitiznot helm for 1 extra prayer if desired).

 

Wear a Saradomin Symbol and carry the prayer book (not a good book).

 

Equip a god book or Fally shield.

 

 

 

Basicly you want a prayer bonus. The sara symbol adds prayer, but you must use that (as opposed to some other prayer bonus that goes in the neck spot) because it allows the prayer book to cure your poison.

 

 

 

If you dont have all that stuff:

 

Initiate or monk robes work.

 

Antipoisons are good too.
