drunkenduck
Im currently 59 smithing and 61 crafting but i want to raise them to 69 and 66 respectively for the Rocking Out quest requirement and it's my main obstacle to overcome in my quest cape goal. What's the cheapest/most efficient way of training these two skills at those levels? I don't really want to spend over 1mil on leveling these if that's possible... :? Thanks in advance :)
smobo
Both of those skills are fairly expensive, cheap and efficient would be hard. Cheapest way to train crafting is flax -> bowstrings, you actually profit at that. Smithing cannonballs makes profit too, but is highly tedious and slow. It would be 12k bowstrings (~1m profit) or 3k emerald braces (slight profit, but faster). Smithing is harder to do faster, 16k cannonballs would make you about 1.6m profit i think, but to do it with any speed, you'll need a few mill to spend at it. Got his first skill cape April 7th 2009, at lv 121+12 cb and 2000 total
drunkenduck
Thanks for the emerald bracelet idea, I think I'll probably do that for the crafting  By doing cannonballs method, should I just buy already smelted steel bars rather than coal+iron? I think that would be a faster, or am i mistaken? Thanks for the advice!
The_dmt1234
if you have done stealing creation before, you should be able to get 3 hammers an hour totaling 96k exp overall for 1 hr get them when you train smithing, i do iron plates it cost me about 1.1m for about 5k bars and i use the sc hammers with them all i end up with about 370k worth of iron plates so i lose a good 700k for 250k exp this is the fastest way which an average loss, i get rid of the plates by lending out my items otherwise a slower way with less loss is iron knives still use the hammers as it cuts the cost of exp in half ]
cnut21
For smithing you could superheat mith. I did that when i got 69 smithing and when prices were right I was profiting like 10gp per mith bar I made.

I did that when i got 69 smithing and when prices were right I was profiting like 10gp per mith bar I made. i did that from 52-beyond (well 68 currently but my goal is for 70) at times i made up to 100per bar (when sc first came out and people went crazy with bars \ \ ) and sometimes lost money up to 50gp (when price gets too high and the ge falls from mass amounts of bars 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
