My first Dark Beasts slayer task

1. I have no idea what to bring in inventory. I've heard using prayer armor + prayer pots + melee works pretty well. I've read the Tip.It bestiary but I'm a little shaky on when it uses melee and when it uses it's magic attack (so basically, what prayer do I use against them while meleeing?).

 

 

 

2. And is the only way to get mourner's clothing from those stupid mourners near that Arandar gate place?

I think it says use mage protect when ur attacking it. If it is only attacking you and ur not attacking it, it will use melee.

 

Edit: Can be re-obtained by killing another level 11 mourner during or after the quest. A complete mourner's outfit is useful for other quests and to enter the mourner's headquarters after quest. There are two chests you can steal from there. (from tip it items database) ON Mourning's Ends Part 1 Quest

So that means I gotta go get my stats cut down to 20? lol fun times
