i just posted a thread for goal problems... and now i cant get an avatar to get in that square box, and whenever i post URL it says its invalid... :x

What URL are you posting? It must end in .JPG or .GIF (and maybe .PNG, can't remember if it's allowed or not).

A URL is the address of the image. Like in your signature, this is a url: http://www.rshumor.net/1874/

It's a little smiley with a p hat and an "im rich" sign. its not over 100 by 100, and i cant post it... im searching google for pictures, and i click it and post the link, and it says its invalid. :wall:

Are you copying that link from your browser's address bar?

hmmm...i just noticed the "image may be subject to copyright" sentence under the picture... no im copying from the thing under the picture in google. for example..

I actually meant the URL from your address bar, that way someone could have visited the page and helped you get the full URL. In the cases of google pictures, click on "See Full Size Image" and then save that image to your computer. Then upload it on an image hosting site (I use photobucket), and they'll give you a direct link once it's uploaded, you'd copy that and put that in for your avatar.

 

 

 

But as Tripsis said, it's best to stay away from copyrighted material, just to be safe.

My avatar is self made. I took a picture of my Military Coin I was awarded, and made the picture under 100x100, then uploaded it.
