somaster989
hi guys i made my first pixel drawing on MS paint and i want to enhance it using adobe photoshop elements 3.0. my picture is FAAAR from finished, and i would really appreciate suggestions and comments. (dont worry about hurting my feelings, go and insult the pic all you want lol, just be honest :o ) **at first glance, it looks like the guy's right arm is wicked short, it was supposed to look like he was bending it backwards...but as you can see, i failed miserably trying to do that  ** There are a few things i would like to do to the pic - make the guy look like he is standing ankle deep in water, and have his reflection showing - draw a good cape - improve the color quality (im really nooby when it comes to graphics) - make a good background - resize the pic so that it could fit in a sig but still retain its quality if you could help me with those things, i would really appreciate it, and please leave any comments, compliments, complaints...watever. thank you very much everybody. :)
somaster989
um...i realized this as i looked at the pic again: since im so used to drawing woman figures, his waist area is a bit curvy and resembles a woman... and also, i was wondering if there was a more efficient way to shade. i spent forever trying to shade this (and it still s**ks pretty bad). like i said, i am an amateur when it comes to this stuff this is the first pixel drawing i made in my life... cupcake
You are doing a good job on the shading compare to some..... people  - make the guy look like he is standing ankle deep in water, and have his reflection showing #go to google and look at some reflection image. It'll give you some ideas for sure - draw a good cape #draw the simplest shape first, add detail to it later. The left side of the cape should be lower than the other one. - improve the color quality (im really nooby when it comes to graphics) #you'll improve as you draw more and look at some good artists' work :) - make a good background #a small lake? - resize the pic so that it could fit in a sig but still retain its quality #not going to happen unless it is flash (i think). Something I want to say on the drawing. =his hand should be resting on the handle. It looks weird right now. =I am not sure where would the sword land on, but shouldn't the sword tip be on the ground level? =his legs are sort of facing the same direction. Make his left leg face a little left.
