i took the SAT I in the 8th grade and got 800 on the math section. needless to say, i was EXTREMELY surprised. unfortunately, i got destroyed on the english section - 520. :oops: i am not looking forward to taking the new SAT at all. :x

hey, facial hair shaving can't be as bad as leg shaving. At least guys can grow out their beard or have a little bit of stubble if they want to. Girls can't do that...we have to have absolutely spotless and smooth legs...and thats not exactly easy. I prefer waxing my legs so that they stay smooth for a long time...it hurts a lot though. Besides legs, girls have to have hairless underarms and bikini line! you guys have it better off in my opinion

hey! i appreciate your comments, dude, thanks! yeah, i wasn't really finished with these sonnets which is why they are not in iambic pentameter...im constantly searching for words. And speaking of the additional quatrain...i added that because i am actually planning to take out one of the four, and now i believe i will take out the second one when I submit it. However, i will leave it in there now for the reader's enjoyment.

Something like this came up in my history class in school. we were discussing what we thought were the inventions of the past that made the greatest impact on civilization and the individual. i came up with these: The Wheel - revolutionizing transportation The Mirror - the introduction of self image, and vanity The Weapon - an instrument for inflicting pain on others Paper - the ability to store information If you would like to add your own, please do so. I would love to hear what you think. And remember not to be limited by recent inventions and technological developments after the Industrial Revolution. Think about inventions from the beginning of written history. EDITED TEXT: alritey, i'm going to add some that i think were extremely influential here...there may be some conflicting viewpoints for these, but hey, it gives you another thing to discuss. so far, i've added: - fire (technically, it was not invented....but discovered....) - the atom bomb - steel - agriculture (not exactly an invention...) NOTE: It would be nice if you could provide an explanation of why your invention really influenced society...just to promote some understanding here

Well, we're studying Shakespeare in English class (yippee) and we're required to write a sonnet for one of our assignments. I thought I'd share two of mine with you guys. Feel free to condemn, criticize, complain write stupid comments or whatever you want about them. i dont really care...just have fun! This one refers to my deep contempt of mathematics. The weird thing is that I'm actually really good at it but it just infuriates me sometimes. And so i take my anger out in a sonnet...:D Mathematickes (a parody) ~ I've added a bit of "snake" imagery to this... Oh mathematickes, how I despise thee Thou seest my grief and hisseth with glee As thy evil slitted eye looks at me In thy scaly head, thou laugheth shrilly With thy endless logic and equations And thy numbers of abstract uselessness With thou I have lost all of my patience Trapp'd I am in thy coils of wretchedness This my tortured soul and brain doth know Thou art filthy and maggoty I'd say Thou leaveth a stench wherever thou'st go Like a stinkbug on a fragrante day On thy studente thou inflicteth such pain And wisheth my demise so gruesomely With thy nonsense thou poisoneth my brain Oh mathematickes, how I detest thee But alas, snake, evade you I cannot For thou art pres'nt in all and ne'er forgot NOTE: sonnets are supposed to have 3 quatrains and couplet, but i squeezed in another quatrain for fun. also, each line is supposed to have 10 syllables but mine dont follow that exactly. This next one refers to my good for nothing laptop which keeps dying on me and is pretty much useless. you'll see what i mean when you read the sonnet heheheh. My Laptop Thou art a dung-heap cast as computer, Thy innards are pumped with silicon dump, Thy toasted fan does zilch for the user, Thy speed pales compared to a dead tree stump. Thou hast failed me through thine pitiful life, After slight use of files, tired thou hast slept, Thou hast crashed and died as if stabbed by knife, Thy processing chip was far too inept. Essays, high scores, conversations alike, Lost in thy failure as the screen turns black, I yelled angrily at thee through my mic, But never would thee return my files back. Fortunately for I, thy life shalt end, For rung Dell I have. Thou knows what they'll send! yeah, those crazy people that live on the bottom of the world have christmas in the middle of summer :D . seriously, it is the middle of summer. personally, i'm glad to have christmas in the winter. Otherwise, it just doesnt feel like christmas. And think about it, if christmas was in the summer, winter would be totally depressing, with school, grey skies, and no fun. I once had christmas down south in Florida. It was kinda nice for the fisrt time, but it really didnt feel like christmas. The whole idea of sitting in front of a warm fire, singing carols in the cold, watching the first snowflakes is what makes christmas christmas for me.

well im not christian, so i dont really celebrate christmas as a religious holiday. but i love the SHOPPING more than anything!!! its so much fun, not just getting presents yourself but buying them for other people too. oh yes, and of course, i love the fact that there is no school. :wink:

I don't know....it just started snowing here kinda thickly this morning and when I saw, I felt really happy. I really love the holiday season for many reasons: 1. Family and friends together 2. SHOPPING! (ever been to the mall during the holidays? awesomeness...) 3. Presents, of course 4. FOOD yum yum yum 5. Parties (I dont know about you, but I go to about 6-7 Christmas parties every year.... :lol: ) Well, those are my favorite things about Christmas. Please add your own, and they don't just have to be about Christmas, you can write about holidays in general. (or if you're Jewish, you can write about Hannukah, etc.)

DDR rocks my socks! i got DDR for ps2 a little while ago and i am addicted! FFR (flash flash revolution) is the typing version of ddr and its a lot of fun too. not so good at that yet, but still trying!

i actually made this one a while back when i was really bored. enjoy! and keep bumping if you can, i guess... :lol: i stole the dining table in Varrock Castle and stocked up on food to put there. Since i found out you couldnt actually put stuff there, I tweaked the image. It took me a while to get the angle right. Also took me a while to get the perfect screenshot when my character was bowing.

hey hey hey...slow down dont even think about confronting OR dumping just yet. when you try to confront her, it puts her on the defensive and she'll feel as if you are trying to be overprotective of her. And dumping her for something like that is way to harsh. dont even go there. what i suggest you do is just talk to her gently about it. When she's out with her friend again, ask if you can meet him/her or if you can come. i dont see why she would say no if you are her boyfriend.
