February 15, 200917 yr So, I log on today, and go to Itunes. Then, I discover that nearly all of my songs are missing. So, I check my frostwire. Everything is missing there too, including the servus folder. I'm running a virius scan as we speak. Does anyone know if there is a way of re-obtaining my songs again? I really don't feel like downloading them again, as I have dialup and it can take around 20 minutes per song...
February 15, 200917 yr That's happened to me twice before. My whole itunes library has just disappeared. Did you consolidate your libaray at any time? If so, the files shouls still be in your music folder under iTunes.
February 15, 200917 yr That's happened to me twice before. My whole itunes library has just disappeared. Did you consolidate your libaray at any time? If so, the files shouls still be in your music folder under iTunes. I checked, nothing. The song titles are there, but when i try and play them a message pops up saying " This song could not be found ", and an explanation (!) mark appears next to the song name.
February 15, 200917 yr You weren't messing around with folders and such? Changed the FrostWire download folder? Anything? Because, what iTunes is doing is it's looking for songs in a specific folder and playing them via that folder. If anything in that folder gets moved or corrupted, it has no idea what to do. Open your music folder (C:\Users\[your account name]\Music) and see if you can't find the iTunes library. Mess around in there and see if you can find the songs.
February 15, 200917 yr The little ! mark next to song titles means the file isn't found at that path, so yeah they're gone. That happened to me the first time my library disappeared. I just had to rip all my CD's again, took ages.
