What's with that chicken?

Hello everybody. I'm new to this forum, though I've played RuneScape for some while. I've recently noticed something like a 19 lvl Evil Chicken attacking people. I wonder: what is this random event? I've never seen this before...

It's part of a new series of random events released by Jagex yesterday, August 1st. The Random Events Guide has been revised, but it won't be viewable until the site is updated.

Well, that is the evil chicken random event. It can appear out of nowhere no matter what you are doing. It is more like a shade and zombie but the sad thing is that it attacks with magic. It is impossible to avoid its attack across from a fence because of this. If you have your prayer fully charged and you can use protection against magic, go ahead and use it since the chicken has a weak defense. It can drop nearly 100 feather, bones, raw chicken meat, AND eggs at the same time. But it is really REALLY ANNOYING!!!

Ah haha, when it first attacked me, I put up Protect from Melee out of habit. WHOA, SUPER POWERFUL CHICKEN, NULLIFIES PRAYER!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then I realized I was an idiot.
