Summoning level affecting non-members...

I've read that the summoning skill doesn't affect non-member's combat level. So if somebody would need one level of summoning to gain a combat level, their level one summoning wouldn't apply. Now, this is what I'm reading from this, but I'm not a member yet so if this i wrong, then correct me please.

 

 

 

I think that it should be that the level 1 of summoning doesn't affect members, either, unless they have completed the Wolf Whistle quest.

 

 

 

The reason for this is that some people like skillers like to achieve tasks at as low levels as possible. Sometimes, the difference between a cb level and a more rewarding achievement is only one level in any combat skill.

 

 

 

If non-members don't get affected by a skill that they can't use, and the skill requires a quest to be usable, then members who don't want to be affected and don't want to be able to use this skill (and haven't done the quest) shouldn't have to be affected by something that happened when they paid for membership.

 

 

 

What this allows is for somebody to achieve a goal, but not be able to utilize the full game because they will have lost the goal once they buy membership; or goals that were once available have been ruined because their cb level suddenly changes with an update. Nothing was done to attempt to get this change in cb level, just as nothing was done by non-members to be able to use the skill.

 

 

 

So, the summoning skill's level 1 shouldn't affect combat level until the Wolf Whistle quest is completed that allows users to use the summoning skill.

 

 

 

I'm not trying to rant or something. It's just that this kind of is an inconvenience for skillers and people that try to do low-level achievements, since this skill can affect members that don't want it to affect them and aren't able to us the skill while it doesn't affect non-members who aren't able to use the skill. If I'm not using the skill, or even able to use it until I do something, then why should it affect my combat level - the level that is displayed for all to see and judge members on. I didn't achieve the right to use the skill, so why let it affect me as if I have?

 

 

 

I'm not a member on RS right now (this change is a major thing that would prompt me to become a member), so if somebody could like quote this post and stick it on the suggestions forum on the RS forums, that would be awesome. You could just say that this was requested by a non-member on a fan-based forum, and post the link to the thread here so I could watch it. :thumbsup:

As in... if I had level 17 cb before summoning came out, and all it took was one prayer or any other cb level to change me to 18 cb; summoning then comes out, and my level remains 17?

99 summoning, rest default (soul wars to get charms) only like 12 combat.

 

 

 

Summoning pure-

 

99 defence, 99 summoning, 99 hp. Forgot, calculated it once, less than 80 combat.
