Currently, I am using this avatar which I made:

 

 

 

 

What I want is an image, like this one, but three times a wide as it is tall, with the base of the triangle in the middle, taking up exactly one third of the picture. Also, this is not supposed to be a triangle, but a sort of Tetrahedron, showing two of the three sides, but not the bottom. If one of you would improve this, and add a shadow to give the appearance of being a 3 dimensional object, it would be a major improvement over what I currently have.

 

 

 

So, my requirements are for a White Tetrahedron centered in a black background- with the background being twice it's bases width. The max pixel dimensions for a Steam Avatar are 184 x 184.

 

 

 

I would appreciate some attempts to create what I have in my head. It will probably take many attempts to get just right, so if you want to start this project, bear in mind that it may take awhile to complete. Still, just getting the proportions of my existing avatar right would be a big improvement.

Would anyone like to work on this?

Well, that looks more like a triangle split in half. It should be angled so one side is more pronounced than the other. The idea is to convey that there are 3 sides, while only showing two.

Looking better, but I don't want color. Pure black background, white tetrahedron with the proportions described in my topic post. We are getting closer. The object should be centered at the bottom of our flag, and it's peak should touch the top. Also, experiment with light coming out of the tetrahedron, making it appear to illuminate the darkness. The illumination affect may be too much to ask, and probably won't work without disturbing the purity of the blackness.

 

 

 

As you may have guessed by now, this flag has symbolism behind it. The Tetrahedron is symbolic of something that brings light to darkness. Sort of like how Rome was seen long ago.

I still haven't got exactly what I want. For that matter, we haven't gotten close enough to specifications. Our work is not finished.

 

 

 

Perhaps the lack of activity here is a result of my not saying Thank You. I do apologize if I seem rude, but I reserve my Thank You's for when the job is done to satisfaction. That way, they mean allot more than regular Thank You's.

Why, what was so bad about it?

Perhaps I have misenterpreted it, but it sounded very demanding, as if every user in this forum should be jumping at the chance to make something for him. A "lack of activity" may be due to people doing, you know, things?

Thats just the way he talks.... very proper.... I guess ;)

I do apologize if I caused offense. I did not mean to do so. It just seemed that my request wasn't getting anywheres near as much attention as others. Just look at the times of the posts here, and compare them to some other topics. In particular, see how long it took for some one to reply.

 

 

 

Now, about your new version:

 

It looks better. I think both sides need some shading though. Mostly, I think the left is too shaded. I want it to look like there are three sides, but I don't want either of the two showing sides to look so dark.

I would like some more work on this, as we still haven't created what I had in mind. If any one feels up to it, I would appreciate some more help.

 

 

 

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that some may find the above statement a little demanding. It's not meant to sound that way, mearly a request for some additional work to help me complete the project. That's the problem with the written language, it is difficult to convey emotions properly.
