August 8, 200520 yr Ages ago, I logged out from norton, and have forgotten the pass, so I cant log back in. Now I cant really do anything that I used to be able to do ( rs forums, msn, install some progs) and im getting sick to the back teeth of it. I have tried to un-intsall norton from 'add and remove programs' but i need to be logged in to delete norton anti...blah blah.. And there is my problem, I cant seem to delete it without being logged in, and having forgotten pass, and in frustration deleted anything with the words 'symantec' and 'norton' I could find, I cant open it up. I hav had a Think and there are 2 things ive decided that could be done... 1. manually un-install it. 2. HAve it there, but not working, so not on start-up or whatever. What do I do to go about doing these? Thanks..

August 15, 200520 yr Click start, then run. Type regedit and find noton in the regestry (you may need to look around). Once you find it, delete it by right clicking it and press delete. That will erase all the norton files, but the empty folder will remain. Oh well!
August 15, 200520 yr Meh, try something like this : http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/na ... 2114452606 Add/Remove never worked with Norton for me either. Thats how I got rid of it ^.
