I have a mystic mud staff but it does not give me any runes. What am I doing wrong?

First, realize that the mystic mud staff only provides water and earth runes, NOT air. If it isnt providing you with earths either, you probably hit a glitch, unequip it and reequip, and if that doesnt work, restart the game ;)
