  1. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=516149 Use this sticky ^
  2. Nope, the rune part should be saved. Same thing happened to me and I didn't have to replace the runes ;)
  3. I'm no expert, but I'd say that if you plan on banking the teak carved tables, then it would be slower than oak doors, since both give the same xp per item. :
  4. I'm looking into buying this keyboard since I'm getting really frustrated with my current one, and might as well upgrade... Now, here are the questions: These questions would be best answered by someone who owns this keyboard or has owned one. (I have searched around and haven't found a clear answer for these) 1. What is the macro keystroke limit per key? (e.g. setting up the macro to press "x" number of keys) 2. Are the touch sensitive controls durable or do they wear out in less than 6 months? 3. Do the metal-plated keys flake off the metal after long usage, and if so, are the keys black underneath? I know that this keyboard has been known to have issues in setting up the software and hardware to run it properly, but I will still be inclined to buy it if I get the answers I'm hoping for on the above questions. Thanks in advance, Tribble : EDIT: Just found out from a friend that it's a piece of junk overall since it doesnt last long... Please lock
  5. You don't need to be on Ancients to focus it (I did it in my house without being on ancients), but you do need to finish DT according to the kb (which despite much criticism, is almost always right): http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2570
  6. The tip.it max hit calc often gives a result that will be 1 damage higher than what you actually can do. Either way, Void melee is better offensively since you also get the 10% attack bonus ;) EDIT: When using the tip.it calc on for the void set's max hit, it is actually correct more often than not ;) . Just remember, if you don't trust the calcs, you can just test it yourself ;)
  7. If you can do legends, do it for the cape... Obsidian cape isn't worth 170-180k (if I recall correctly) for 2 more defence in each stat.
  8. In the GE, there are NO selling limits, but there are buying limits. For example, you can buy up to 100 battlestaves per 4 hrs, but you can theoretically sell 100k battlestaves instantly. So, then the answer to your question would be that you do not need to wait 4 hrs to sell anything. If it isn't selling, then either your price is too high, or just no one is buying ;)
  9. http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-high-alchemy.html It doesn't update the price of nats as often, but it gives you more choices than the wiki one ;)
  10. I'd say no since the magic bonus it gives is horrible compared to what you could get using ahrims, infinity, or even mystic (I think). Btw, void mage is the most useless void set out there... Just don't use it. Reason being, the 30% boost is mainly to magic attack, which would be around 30ish or less without any armor bonuses, but with ahrims, it can easily go higher than 100. ;)
  11. What he said ^ I'd recommend Soul Wars, due to the fact that it costs nothing if you melee (not using barrows, otherwise, minimal cost), and is the second best way of leveling hp ;) Also, a clan would help speed things up a bit.
  12. I'd say you're unlucky (no offence intended :-# ). I have done about 4-5 tasks without wealth (instead using berserker), and failed to get any d boots... All of my d boots drops have been with a ring of wealth, and averaged around a 1/150 to 1/175 drop rate with the ROW. +1 Couldn't have said it better :
  13. Monkeys are faster xp by somewhere around 10-20k per hour, but you lose money, whereas at AZs you make at least 150k per hour
  14. You could also see if there are any quests that give a good 5-10k xp lamp... That would make your leveling much easier ;)
  15. Unless you feel like upgrading stuff now, nothing needs to be changed in your equipment. (you could try buying a berserker ring, but only if it increases your max hit) Your inventory doesnt really need much. Bring a few alching runes (about 10 nats at most since you wont get much alchable stuff) and your slayer gem to keep track if you want to. Your prayer pots depends on whether or not you flash prayer. When I flash prayer (I have 70), I get a full inventory of herbs before I run out of prayer. When I'm too lazy to flash, it usually takes me about 2 of 4 dose prayer pots to load up with herbs and valuable seeds. I'd say take one more, until you have tried it yourself (just to be safe), and modify your inventory the next few trips until it's optimized by your specific experience ;) . Happy Slaying :
  16. Wow I feel stupid for not noticing that #-o But yeah, it's protect from magic, not melee :P
  17. Also, your defense is a bit low to efficiently tank with food (it started to work moderately well at 85 def for me when I used karils+dfs a while back), so you might as well do what MstrMonopoly said with prayer, and use your best prayer boosting gear (preferrably proselyte) ;)
  18. If you read my post, it says no gs... :wall: . DFS is actually something that slipped past my mind #-o Thanks for that :P I'll probably buy it soon, but right now it's skyrocketing in price, so I think I'll wait for it to crash #-o . I tried for fire cape once at 82 range and 85 def and ran out of restores on wave 50 something and gave up trying >.< Also, since I'm not on for 2+ hrs straight these days, I can't do it in one shot, but if I do get the chance, it wont hurt me to try :D ... Also, it's not that I don't want a trim, its that I don't want to trim it with a skill like cooking, firemaking, fletching, etc. Magic is to be done later (I'm getting it after I max out melee combat stats, should have specified it, sorry), and I don't want to use up all of that money and only get 82 prayer in the end #-o Thanks for the ideas so far :D keep em coming :
  19. I am currently stumped as to what I should spend my money on (and I hate having idle cash), so I would like some ideas from everyone :) . I currently have 62m. I have tried ALL of the godswords (through purchase or borrowing), and have not found it worth it to keep any of them :-# , so please do not suggest it (I almost live through slayer, but my bunyip + EE destroys the advantage of an SGS). I have also bought and sold Bandos armour about 3-4 separate times and full dragon once, and found both useless after about a week to a month of use when compared to my Torag's Plate and legs :P . I DO NOT want to spend money on getting any buyable 99's, since I don't have the commitment to grind for more than a week straight, nor do I consider those skills an accomplishment at all... Here is what I currently have as combat gear (melee and range only, since I don't do combat with mage): [hide=Pictures] [/hide] You can ignore some of the stuff on those pics since some of the stuff is just junk or quest-related gear I don't want to get rid of :P Consider the fact that basically all of the combat I do is through slayer using Lapalok (Duradel) ;) . Any ideas for improvement?
  20. Level 2s and 3s are the only trails worth doing, since you're going to turn a profit most of the time on the lvl 2s, and almost all the time with lvl 3s. I'd say just make sure you make use of as many free teleports as you can, and don't expect much as a reward so that you might be nicely surprised ;) Happy TT hunting :
  21. You probably mean 75 agility, since that is when you stop failing obstacles altogether. But all considered, it's not worth going there until you hit 70 or so. I tried around upper 60's (somewhere between 67-69, not sure) and failed a lot (1-2 times EACH lap, but it could be bad luck :| ), but after 70, you fail very rarely. At my current level, I fail one obstacle about every 4-5 laps.
  22. You can't assist, but you can use skill boosts, such as beers, pots, pies and spicy stews (I used it for the runecrafting requirement in the Falador Diary). I would recommend using the spicy stews because you can stay up to 6 levels below and still do the part of the diary ;)
  23. As far as I know, you do need the ninja monkey greegree. And whether or not you can start it 5 levels early, it isn't worth it until 70+ agility. ;)
  24. Camtasia Studio is not the only screen video capture utility, if you google "wisdom soft autoscreenrecorder", the first link that shows up will be to wisdomsoft's download page. They offer a free, stripped down version of their "Pro" edition, but it's good enough for basic video capture, and it has no expiration time ;) . If you're willing to pay or lean towards Campbell's idea, I would recommend Fraps, I have used it since my dad bought it a while back and it works amazingly well for me :
  25. If you have lunar magics, you can try collecting snape grass. Here's a link to a guide in AOW General guides (Claims 350k+/hr, haven't tried it myself): viewtopic.php?f=180&t=793045
