  1. I hate it when people don't know what they're talking about... There are only three boots in the entire game that provide a ranged defense bonus: Rogue boots (+2), Insulated boots (+1) and Frog-leather boots (+1). (Use the tip.it Stat Sorter and try to prove me wrong ;) ) As you can see, it is utterly pointless to use these for ranged defense, so just go for ranged attack bonus, meaning Ranger boots if you can afford it ;) Happy hunting :
  2. Only sometimes, and it depends on your strength level ;) At my 90 str, it gives me a +1 on my max hit with slayer helm but the correct max hit without slayer helm. And it also gives an exact max hit on my void/salve setup for AZs. Back on topic... Even if the zerker combo hits higher, the attack bonus of the ss outweighs an increase in max hit of 1 or 2. since you will hit 0s less often, and therefore, do more damage in the long run ;)
  3. You can get about 1.2k alchs per hour if you're focused, but most of the time you'd average around 1k per hour. Therefore, your time should land somewhere around 50-60 hrs by these numbers ;)
  4. Definitely, just keep your hp high and use your range pot and you'll be fine. You could also try using about 50-100 Diamond (e) bolts since their armor piercing special wouldn't hurt ;)
  5. I believe that person who went from 44 -> 99 in 2 weeks almost no-lifed it in a clan... Anyways, back on topic, I do think it is a good idea if you like pvp type minigames, but you might want to search around for a good SW clan (not the ones people advertise in w44), so that you get 3 zeal each game. Also, notice that AZs or zombie monkeys will probably give faster xp in str. And don't forget, SW is amazingly awesome when it comes to hp xp :D
  6. For the arctic pine pyre ship, just search/fight some skeletons until you get mangled bones (fastest way) For the mithril dragon... When I did this part of the diary, I followed the guide on this site and did well. My setup (if i recall correctly) was Robin hat, karils top + bottom, snakeskin boots, fury, ring of life (cowardly me  ), rune c bow with broad bolts, anti dragon shield, and barrows gloves. My stats were 80 def, 80 range, and 80 mage, and I utterly destroyed it, using one dose of a range pot and 1-3 sharks. Granted, I may have just been lucky :-# IMO, the mith drags are overrated in strength. Some people think that they can one hit you lol, its amazing :P . Just make sure you go prepared with food, ring of life (if you're scared like me :P ) and a one click tele, and you'll be fine ;) Good luck
  7. If you mean safely ranging, then no, since you cant safespot them because the demon will teleport you or itself withing melee range of it ;)

I did a clue with this spot recently, and had the same issue with the tree. First, kill/trap any vampires trying to attack you. Then stand one square WEST of the spot in the treasure trails guide. It's the spot I've been using for a while now, and it works like a charm every time. Here's the pic from the treasure trails guide, edited to show the spot I am talking about (X marks the spot :P ): GL with clue :
  9. Soul wars is one of the fastest ways to level hp. So that you get 3 zeals each round and don't waste time, I would recommend Soul Slayers FTW as a clan to join. It is a 120+ only, and in getting zeal for my abyssal minion, I won every game I played, except for one, which was tied. Quickfind Code in RSOF to join is: 92-93-722-58782246. Good luck on 99 hp :
  10. You should be able to ask someone for their help, and offer payment afterwards if necessary. That's what I do with that clue if none of my friends are on/available atm. I actually had that clue this morning and paid a level 70 something 5k for helping (he did it willingly without asking for payment) :P EDIT: I just finished a round at abyssals, if you haven't done it yet, pm me ingame and i'll help ;)

I know for a fact that you can't now, and unless you did it when the diary came out, it is highly unlikely that you assisted to do it. I completed it by using the spicy stews... OT: As a fact, you can't assist for quest requirements or diaries. It's been proven many times despite many people debating it... If you really feel like it, try the assisting and see what happens.
  12. Since you said most, I would vote bunyip. Having a healing familiar eliminates the need for food (at least for me), and you actually spend less in healing costs by using one rather than food ;)
  13. You could also do soul wars and just collect bones and bury them to be considered active ingame ;)
  14. Idk about tie worlds, but in the cc I'm in, i have one every game but one so far, and tied only one (have gotten 60+ zeal). You need to apply to the clan, and as you're well above 120cb, you shouldn't have a problem whatsoever. Its called "Soul Slayers FTW" RSOF Quickfind: 92-93-722-58782246. Apply there and good luck :) I know I kind of went around your question of tie worlds, but if you win 99% of the time and only tie at worst, you're losing nothing in comparison to a tie world ;) Good luck on 99 hp :
  15. Tyvm! I'll be giving them a try right now :
  16. Does anyone know of a good Soul Wars clan I can get into (not one of those horrible clans that spam their name on w44, I've tried 2)? I'm looking to stay in for a while since I need 85 points to turn my abyssal head into an abyssal minion \
  17. They don't. Only three boots in the game that give a ranged defence bonus, of which the highest is 2. I wouldn't even consider it, but just look at the stat sorter to see for yourself ;) http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?r ... nge&slot=5
  18. :wall: I really feel stupid... I apparently forgot to re-equip the salve ammy after my last trip to abyssals #-o , so yeah, my xp/hr should at least go up a little now
  19. Armoured Zombies are unlocked after you do the quest "Defender of Varrock". Theyre in the dungeon entered through the trapdoor behind the chaos altar south of Clan Wars. Good luck on 99 strength! : EDIT: Just incase you want some info on these, there's a guide in AOW General guides that I used when I started at AZs. I modified his technique a little though, but it was about personal preference :P . Also, the 90-100k xp per hour he claims is nowhere near what i get, which is usually around 65-70k, but hey, I might be doing it wrong somewhere :P viewtopic.php?f=180&t=767739
  20. When I did the quest, I went on rsof, and i was able to find a mature ale... although it cost me 30k at the time lol :P . But if you really dont want to waste the time on leveling (or if leveling costs more), just search the forums since someone is bound to have it ;) Good luck on the quest :
  21. Assuming AZ is armored zombies (I'm not too keen with acronyms :? ), you might want to try using full void+salve if you have it, since it makes you hit so much higher ;) Don't start a debate of void and salve stacking, they do... Void + fury + super str with whip gives me a max of 41, and with salve instead of fury its a 45 ;) Otherwise, bandos isn't that bad of an idea :
  22. Just buy the ss and use barrows. Bandos increases your max hit by 1 maybe 2 if you're really lucky, and makes you take more damage due to having less defence than barrows ;) . Keep saving for the sgs, you might find it more useful than I did. :
  23. For the sgs part, look at his sig :wall: And whip in controlled is extremely slow strength training, since that is what he is going for ;) OT: Use the scim for now, but get the ss if you're willing to spend the cash because it is a bit faster in training strength. If you don't mind losing about 5-10k xp (I think thats accurate :-# ) per hour, then don't buy it at all :P
  24. The most annoying ones that will attack you are the abyssal guardians (lvl 59) since you can easily find 2 abyssal demons that are away from the walkers. Therefore, your cb level should be 59 x 2 = 118 so that they are not aggressive ;) EDIT: yeah.. stupid me, I just saw now that your level is higher than this, so i guess you have no worries :P Happy slaying :
  25. I think I can take that as an acceptable value lol, since you've gotten freaking 31 whips  (Congrats on that). The only downside is that I now need to get at least 2 heads, which is, by your numbers, 7200 kills, one for my house, and one for the pet -.- Unless someone else has some input on the abyssal heads question, consider this topic closed :
