wooden telescope

Featured Replies

you have in both the construction table and the shooting star guide, mentioned that both the oak and teak telescope give a 9 minute window for the time of the landing for the next star:

from "shooting star" guide, "locating stars" section, first paragraph:

An Oak or Teak telescope gives a nine minute window for the landing, but a Mahogany telescope gives a more accurate two minute window for the landing.

but this is incorrect: my oak telescope gives a 24 minute window (not a 9 minute window)

It says in the construction guide that the wooden telescope gives the time of the next shooting star within 9 minutes, but I'm pretty sure when I used it, it gave a range of around 24 minutes or so. I was wondering if this was a mistake, because it says that wooden telescope and teak telescopes give the same time range.

It's always possible that Jagex has changed it. If you could post a pic (a simple JPG would do, or any format you like) showing the landing window that would be great.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

did you even read the thread before posting in it??

if you look, the very first post already contains the exact pic you just asked for...

and no, jagex didnt change it, since my "oak" wooden telescope has always given the same (24min) window since the shooting stars were first added to the game

to the other poster:

wooden telescope is the oak telescope -- there is no telescope called 'oak telescope' but the wooden one is made of oak, and therefore is the 'oak' telescope referred to by the guide

Actually, this was two separate topics that got merged, lol. So the reply asking for the pic was not in reply to your pic - it was in reply to a topic that did NOT include a pic.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

well, in that case i apologies for the misunderstanding

Shooting Star guide and construction table have BOTH been updated to reflect this information. Thanks for submitting, thanks also for submitting the picture proving it. Credit has been given.
