March 27, 200917 yr I'm deciding on what to purchase for my PC. I have 2 choices: a PC monitor or an LCD HDTV. Now, I'm leaning towards the tv because I want to opt to use it for gaming with my vg consoles (mainly my PS2). Only drawback is the price in which I can get a very good monitor. My friend recommend this Samsung 2243BWX LCD Monitor to me, it sounds great for the price($180), but... Which would be a better buy? Keep in mind, I'm only limiting myself to $300. I know you have to pay for quality but I'm in need and I need to make up my mind by Saturday.
March 27, 200917 yr Monitor will be much cheaper and a higher quality. You can just buy a VGA cable for your console of choice to connect it to your monitor. I did it with my 360 for a while.
March 27, 200917 yr I bought and liked this monitor. Full 1080P is great, especially since I don't own a TV.
April 1, 200917 yr Maybe, you might want to check the LCD TV ratings. There are LCD TV's there that are smaller in sizes that you can use as monitor. Good luck.
