i have thought of this for a long time time, that you should be able to enchant ARROWS, to do it you use a special magical chant which works only on max 30 arrows maybe.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the chants could be ice and fire enchants and maybe shadow. the enchating makes the wrrows hit harder.

It would make arrows far too powerful and open a can of worms. Warriors and mages would want to enchant their stuff and it would also add an elemental factor.

 

 

 

Loads of hassle and grief for very little IMO.

not elemental, more like the ancient magic, the arrows could have special properties.

High level mage enchanting is a really good idea but this just wouldn't work. It would make magic a trade skill and it would be rigged rangers vs. melee for pking.

i think it's an interesting idea. Although what i would do is make it a prayer. The amount the weapon is enhanced is detirmined by prayer level

Arrow of Light: increases the accuracy of ranged attacks, changes your bow's appearance to that of a white longbow, attacks look like a mage bow spec, except with a white outline instead of green

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shining Staff: increases damage of magic, changes your staff appearance to a white regular staff

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blessed Sword: Increase damage and speed of melee attacks. does not work with strength of attack prayers. changes appearance of weapon to a white dragon longsword. if using halberd, changes to a white halberd

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blessed sheild: Increases defense. does not work with blessed sword.

In order to make this work the enchanted arrows would have to have the same effect as regular arrows against melee armour, but this might actually be the powerup against mages that rangers are well owed right now. But could you people imagine the ownage if magic arrows were released and cutting threough melee armour like butter ;)

If this is an idea meant to "fix" the triangle, I think JAGeX is handling it pretty good thus far. I hate to keep making "It's fine the way it is" posts, but hey, there ya go :)
