The Beginning of a New Light

(Please post comments and whatnot in order to help me make this story better, after reading 150+ manga series, I wanted to write my own story so........... and posting makes me write more o_0)

Edit=SOMEONE POSTED YAY!!!! (caps lock ftw)

Chapter 1 Part 1

The Meeting

It was a snowy night in the land of Galia. The full moon shone down upon a small boy and his mother. The light reflected off of the snow, a million diamonds, spread out throughout the frozen world. Bathed in the moonlight, the boy, on the verge of a breakdown, watched his bloodstained mother run off into the woods with her katana. That was the beginning of The Darkness.

From that day, Shingo Light has never seen his mother again. Now, 8 years later, in the year 2008, of the month of December, Shingo, 16 is staring at his only picture of his mother. An old wrinkled picture, but still portraying his mother perfectly. Her face was paler than the face of the moon, carrying a calm expression as she held her infant son.

Outside, a small snowstorm was raging, the winds slipping through the cracks in the old house. Desperately trying to blow the shoddy home down. Shingo shed a tear. Deliberately, he stood up and opened the sole window in his room,

Where are you mom? he cried out of the window as he raised the picture toward the remnants of the sun, hidden behind the dark, foreboding clouds while hot tears streamed down his face.

Suddenly, a surprisingly strong wind lifted the picture out of his hands and deposited it in front of a girl. Rushing down the stairs, he ran out the door and slammed headfirst into the girl. Sorry said Shingo as he looked at the girl. She had a pale face, almost a white as the frost on a winter morning. Her eyes were strikingly blue set between a slender nose. Her ears seemed to be surprisingly small, hidden behind a forest of black hair, reaching down to her waist.

Its nothing, but you might want to keep this picture, said the girl. By the way, my name is Kira Dark. She said as she glanced at the picture; a look of surprised recognition passed her face. Is this your mother? asked Kira.

Yes, do you know anything about her? She disappeared eight years ago, said Shingo.

Kira said slyly well I know a lot about her, we used to be good friends. So where do you live? asked an ecstatic Shingo. Ill find you later said Kira, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

But said Shingo, yet Kira had already disappeared.

Shingo walked back inside and went up to his room, wondering about whom Kira was. Shingo only had his sister left after his father died of a broken heart and his mother, of a supposed bear attack. Maggie, 22, was cooking dinner downstairs. The scent of her cooking wafted into his nose as he deeply inhaled the intoxicating aroma. His trance was broken by his sister, SHINGO, GET DOWN HERE FOR DINNER!!!!! After thoroughly demolishing his dinner and adding a contented sigh, the brother and sister went to their respective bedrooms and slept.

By the light of the full moon, a shadow darted up to Shingos window. Its red eyes flashing; the creature cut the lock with a brilliant white fang and climbed in. The glaringly red eyes resting upon the sleeping figure that was Shingo, it lifted him and as silently as it came, it left with the boy, leaving behind only the boys precious picture of his mother, tucked safely under his lumpy pillow.

(Authors Note: The name Maggie was because I was bored and I didnt have any more ideas about what I should do for a name so I asked a bunch of friends about names and I narrowed it down to 3, and somehow, Maggie, the most evil of the evil girls in the 8th grade, somehow wonby a huge margin. Below are the scoresMaggie won. Later, she may play a part, youll never know WAhAHAHAHA)

Maggie-49

Michelle-2

Maddie-14

(Yes they all start with M because my name begins with M and now Im just rambling so Ill get on with the story)

The creature brought Shingo to a seemingly uninhabited manor; great dead trees paved the way to the door, their branches looking like lightning, trapped for eternity. It opened the door and went in. The moonlight streamed in through the windows of the mansion, dimly lighting the room. There was a layer of yellowed, peeling wallpaper on the walls. The large bed in the center was undefiled. Two locked chests were in the corner. As it stepped into the moonlight, it could be clearly discerned that it was a girl who kidnapped Shingo, one with long, flowing black hair that reached the waist; hiding small ears. The hair reflected the moonlight, giving it an unearthly sheen. In her mouth, two large, perfectly white teeth resided. Her red eyes were set on a slender nose, glaring at the still, sleeping boy in her arms. She placed him onto the bed, gently, as a mother would do to a newborn child, her aura keeping him in a deep slumber. Slowly she crept next to him, This is revenge for all of my kind that your mother destroyed.

At that moment, Shingo awoke, looking at the dangerously red eyes of the girl, he felt somewhat calm. Even though he could see that this person was not an average human being, it didnt frighten him for what could trump the image of his mother? But as her head motioned toward his neck, he began to wonder about what she would do; the door burst open and a strange man wielding two thin swords, rushed in; incandescent motes of moonlight playing on the blued blade. The inscription on the blades were clearly seen, the first being Sealing and the second, Killing.

He lunged at the girl, a scream upon his lips, plunging his sword toward her. Shingo, realizing what had happened, jumped in front of the girl and two swords were rooted deeply into his back.

NOOOOOOOO cried the girl, I almost had him. She stared at the man, why does that person always send such incompetent fools to interfere with my plans? and with inhumane speed, she rushed behind the man and bit him, draining him of every drop of blood in his body.

Urrrrrgh groaned Shingo. The girl, rushed to his side. Youre Kira huh? mumbled Shingo.

Yes. Said Kira,

And I guess Im going to die too; well can you at least tell me what kind of creature you are? Asked Shingo

I think youve already guessed what I am, said Kira

So youre a vampire. Stated Shingo

Yes, but youre not going to die, if you want, I can give you some of my own blood in order for you to live because your childish act of bravery may have saved my own life. Said Kira, but you will be half vampire, and must follow me.

Where are you going? asked Shingo

I am going to find your mother, and then, probably, kill her. Said a menacing Kira.

What for? Asked Shingo, did she do anything wrong?

Wrong? said Kira, WRONG? That woman, the one you call your mother, single handedly wiped out the vampire race What you are looking at now is the last remaining vampire in the entity of the world. A group of mercenaries decided to capture your mother and harness her unbridled power for their own

Im sorry, I truly am, but is there anything that could be done for my mother? asked Shingo, Can she be saved?

Well see, said Kira, and with that, she lifted his neck to her mouth, pulled out the swords, dropped a ring into his hand, and bit him, sending her own, precious, vampiric blood into him. After she was finished, it began.

Slowly, as Kiras blood entered Shingo, his veins began to glow black, his eyes rolled into his head, and a strange light began to emit from him. Half of this supernatural light was pure darkness while the other half was pure white. But what was more interesting was area in which the light met. Right in the center was a Yin & Yang symbol, almost as if it was a seal. The light looked like it was pouring out of the wounds inflicted onto Shingo, and almost instantly, the wounds closed without a single scar or bruise. The ring dropped into Shingos hand when Kira bit him then absorbed the unearthly light and began to grow larger, until it was about the size of Shingos Head. The glob of material then started to elongate into an elegant sword, half white, half black, with a Yin & Yang insignia in the point. The pommel and guard were elaborately decorated, strange red and white gems decorating it. Shingo then opened his eyes, one of them red, the other brown, and gawked at the sword floating in front of him.

It is yours, murmured Kira, take it, and name it.

Shingo slowly reached out and grabbed the brilliantly shining blade, he felt that the blade felt correct there, that it was where it was supposed to be, and surprisingly, he knew how to name it. But what to name it? Shingo looked through to the recent events that passed, then Shingo bent down, put a drop of his own blood onto the blade, and murmured, Vampire.

The swords blade shone and the word Vampire instantly formed onto the blade, the parts of the word that touched the blackened blade were white, and the parts of the word that touched the whitened blade, were black, and right above the hilt of the blade, a single red, star gem remained.

That gem is the source of your blades power, if you take it out, it will revert into its original ring form, said Kira Its easy to carry around.

What was that ring anyways? asked Shingo

I used that ring to test your bloodline, if it turned into a sword, you werent lying, if you died, you were trying to deceive me answered Kira. Interesting that you named it Vampire, why did you name it that?

Well, when I was thinking of a name for it, your image just somehow ran into my mind, answered Shingo.

Kira blushed and said, You may wish to keep the sword in its ring form, just remove the gem from the blade and if you wish to use the blade again, simply remove the ring and will the sword to return.

Instead of putting parenthesis around their ages you should use commas; like, Shingo, 16, is staring at his only picture of his mother. Also you should indent when a new person speaks.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
