Is cannon worth it?

Featured Replies

I'm considering using a cannon for some slayer tasks. Should I get it? And what monsters destroy it?

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

I'd say, if you can afford to lose cash to expensive cannonballs, go ahead, cuz it speeds up slayer xp quite nicely. Party Down!

Some monsters will destroy your cannon!

* Chaos Elemental

* King Black Dragon

* Kalphite Queen

* reportedly Giant Roc (My Arm's Big Adventure quest)

* reportedly Sea Troll Queen (Swan Song quest)

Some areas do not allow you to set up a cannon:

* Chaos Tunnels

* Slayer dungeon

* Slayer tower

* Stronghold of Safety

* TzHaar Caves

Well.. Smithing cannonballs is very slow, so if you can make faster money using another method, I'd say buy your c'balls. I think someone said it's like 25k cash profit/hour if you smith c'balls and sell 'm.

Cannonballs are 190ea on the GE so if you can make more than 215k (which you can, just range aviansies and you'll make like 350k/hour 8-) ) just buy your balls ;D

Cannons are probably worth the cost as they speed up slayer tasks if you're in a multicombat area :thumbsup:

However as said above cannon balls are quite expensive, however if you don't have the money to spare to spend on cannon balls then you could just smith them though it takes a while...... mmmmmm a nice chunk of smithing exp, slayer exp, range exp and whichever melee stat you're training =P~

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D

I'm not to sure about the slayer things, but I do know enough to tell you not to smith cannon balls, when I played a while ago now, maybe upwords of two years I knew ways to make money that in the time it took me to smith 1k cannonballs (200,000 GP when I played) I could make about 1-2M.
