Yes, but your looking at 1 maybe 2 kills per trip.

I just did my first couple of trips with whip and defender. In 3 trips, I got 5 kills. With your summoning, you'll probably average 3 kills a trip. Meaning, you should get a tasset, plate, or hilt every twenty trips. :P

I've been solo'ing Bandos lately, and I tried whip + defender and it failed pretty miserably. I barely got 1 kill. Whip + DFS is much better, allowing me to usually get 2 kills a trip. This still seems rather pathetic at my level though, but I don't really know what I can improve without getting a godsword. I'd say there's almost no way you will get more than 1-2 kills a trip with whip + defender solo without like, a unicorn or something.

Not a chance. Whip + DFS fails ubierly. I've gotten 5 kills with a war tortise with whip + defender, and I average at least 3. How many trips have you done with whip + defender? I've only done around 3k kills with whip + defender, another 500-600 with a shield (fails epically) and 6k with a godsword, and the order is: Whip>GS>Whip + DFS.

Enchanced Excalibur Special

 

(Merlin's quest gives normal excalibur, and doing all seers diary gives Enchanced)

 

Heals 20 hp 100% bar and boosts your defence by 15%, it's very handy at boss and during kc and goes fast. I suggest using it if you have.

 

 

 

Abyssal whip and Rune defender can do very good damage, so unless the weapon your using for special attack has VERY high hits or accuracy then it's no point using them.

Only trying whip+defender won't do you no good. Let's say you have used Godsword all the time, and suddenly you hear Abyssal whip and Rune defender is pretty good.

 

 

 

"I will try it" You say, and you try it. But you gotta do more than that.

 

 

 

Criterias to use Abyssal whip+Rune defender best:

 

- You must be experienced at soloing Bandos boss (If your nervous or eat sharks badly, then your not)

 

- Decent levels

 

- Be focused

 

 

 

I'd like to think that your kills at Bandos is caused mostly of these:

 

- How focused you are

 

- How experienced you are at soloing

 

- Boss ranged attack

 

- Sergeants attacks

 

- Some luck

 

 

 

So let's say if your not focused and not experienced, how would you do? BAD. You would eat sharks and that would shorten your trip.

 

 

 

Same thing is for Godsword, you should not judge how good it is based on few trips. I recall i judged Abyssal whip bad when i used DFS with it long time ago.

 

 

 

That was only one trip and i said "Darn i hit alot 0s", now i am rocking it with Abyssal whip and Rune defender and it's not mostly because of my levels.
