After I completed the haunted mine quest, I was stupid and did not mine more than 1 crystal shard. I've recently gotten this habit of trying to get 2+ of every item to help with bank organization. I noticed I only had 1 salve amulet(e), and wanted to get another one (or more).

 

 

 

I went back to the haunted mine and made it down to the area where you drop down into the water after you use the lift. There is a long hallway with stairwells at both ends that lead to the crystal mine area. I brought a tinderbox and bullseye lantern, but everytime I fall down into the water the lantern goes out, and the tinderbox becomes un-usable. When I go down either stairwell into the crystal mine area, it says "The room is too dark, perhaps I should find some light before I go down here" or something along those lines, and I have to go back up the stairs.

 

 

 

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get back down to mine some more crystal shards? Thanks for the help!

You need to repeat the entire process you had to do during the quest, that is, you need to get yourself a glowing mushroom.

 

 

 

Tough luck really. I found that out the hard way. After my first membership ended, I dropped all my salves, and I had to get them ALL back again when I renewed. It's a pain since you have to do nearly the entire quest over, minus the fight with the demon.

 

 

 

My advice: Forget about the ammy and only go back there if you really need to.

DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE SALVE AMMY!

 

 

 

It is simply too good for fighting undead. Go there one more time, sock up on salve shards (inventory) so you NEVER have to do it again.

All as you need to do is the mushroom bit and then the switch/value timer run.

 

The carts should already be setup.
