Nadril
http://www.world-machine.com Well, This probaly isn't a big deal to some, but world machine 1.0 has been released :D From what i've understood, the world machines before it were just "beta" versions. I highly sugest anyone that uses terragen to get this program. The terrains you can get in it are outstanding, and in the registered version, can go up to sizes such as 8129x8129! . Yeah, thats a big 'flippin terrain :) I need to go to bed as of now, but tomorrow i'm going to play around with world machine :D
venomai
Nice! :o Some astonishing stuff in the gallery, and the features look sweet! Is this a plugin to Terragen?
Nadril
Nice! :o Some astonishing stuff in the gallery, and the features look sweet! Is this a plugin to Terragen? It's a seperate program used to create terrains. So, it could infact be used for other programs as well (any program that can import a .BMP for a terrain for example). And yes, there is some very amazing stuff in the gallery. I messed with it for a few minutes, it's amazing. There is a new viewing mode where you can view the entire terrain that world-machine basicly renders. When I mean everything, I mean more than just what the preview shows you. So, for example, don't like the preview, than move the terrain selector deal to another part of the (preaty much endless) terrain :)
tttia
The version I tried was interesting, but I must say, that user interface was ...just odd. Maybe it is incredibly flexible and useful and such. I don't know, but I do know it was odd.
Nadril
It's a bit confusing at first, but once you learn what the stuff does it's realy simple :)
