Not possible to boost to 53 thieving for DT?

Hi all,

 

 

 

I detest the repetitive safe skills like cooking, fishing and thieving.

 

 

 

I started DT and have all the diamonds apart from the shadow one.

 

 

 

I looked at the requirement and noticed its 53 with the magpie scrolls boosting 2 I should be able to boost from 53 and try the chest right?

 

 

 

We'll I've talked to Rasolo went back to the camp, but when I try to open the chest (with 53 thieving boosted from 51) I get the message saying I don't know how to open it.

 

 

 

I've checked the quest journal and it states that I need to retrieve the item nothing else.

 

 

 

Is there something I missed or is it just not possible to boost the thieving requirement for DT?

when i tried doing it with 53 thieveing it was near impossible, i actually grew to 54 thieving pickpocketing the bandits for the lockpicks so it's probably be in your best interest to get ot to 53

is it an invisible boost? a lot of the time they increase your ability but not what you can do, just less likely to fail what you can do, or do it faster

Nope its like the farming boost, it shows just like a a potion would.

 

 

 

Seems a bit odd to me.

 

O and I know it gets damn annoying, but I'd rather spend an extra 10 -20 minutes at the chest then clicking a farmer.
