Xbox HDMI and laptop issues

Featured Replies

So my laptop has an HDMI port, and I just bought an Xbox which also has an HDMI port, I figure okay, connect xbox to laptop using the laptop as an output and im set. So I buy the Xbox the games the cable the live card. And i connect away, it dosent work. So i turn the pc off connect the hdmi cable again and put the Xbox on, but as I put the Xbox on the laptop turns on aswell D: at this point I [cabbage] myself. Wait for some time nothing happens turn Xbox off turn laptop on and off a few times to get a bunch of errors out of the way and now im here. With my Xbox being useless. Is there anyway I can get my Laptop to act as an output for my Xbox HDMI ? PLEASE any responces will be much appriciated.

I'm pretty sure that it only works as an output for the laptop itself; you can't use it as a video input. In most cases, you can only display laptops video using a projector, TV, or monitor. If you would like a video input for the laptop you could always buy a USB TV Tuner input box though.
