ArmadylArcher
http://www.flickr.com/photos/karljohnston/3461382431/ Went for a 30 k hike into the woods this past day and took a few shots. A loon passed over the stream about 6 feet from me and skippered over the water by its feet. I was too stunned to take a shot. The land is beautiful...oh so damn beautiful. I took this shot with an 11-16 tokina 2.8 and a 5D mark II on a 190CX3 manfrotto/+486 RC2 ballhead. Bit of a rough job working with the tripod; I'm thinking of getting an Really Right Stuff tripod because I hear rave reviews about them and how stable they are. Shiny
Seems a bit boring. You should of made it a trek, bought a sleeping bag and tent, and waited for the Golder Hour.
Sam
I like it - composition is good, colour tones are nice, just seems really low quality jpg-i-fied. D: 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
ArmadylArcher
Cheers for the comments, it was getting late evening and this is one of the shots that didn't work out quite as planned. I liked the stones, though, and sorry for the low quality jpeg - my flickr account is full for the month. It's early spring where I'm at, I imagine in the summer it will be a lot more colorful with greens and purples and blues :D I'll find the spot again and make another attempt! Cheers. Johannas
Ooh i really like your style. Good job! Nice compostion and tone, and the sky looks awesome too. I take it you live somewhere in scandinavia? - i've been stalking you on the gallery for a bit  Do you get much night time? I think the shot would look awesome if it was taken at dusk or dawn :) Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!
