April 24, 200917 yr Is it possible to have a pin activate faster than the current 7 day wait time? I personally do not want to deal with the hassle of keying in the pin every time that I log on, but I would like to be able to activate a pin as a second level of security if I ever had reason to believe that my password was stolen somehow. For example, a while back I noticed a sudden slow down with my computer and expected some malware was causing it. I dealt with the situation, but I avoided logging on in runescape while the problem persisted to be safe rather than sorry, etc. It woul be nice to have a better emergency safe gaurd system of some sort, though... April 24, 200917 yr I think the reasoning is so that someone dosen't get into your account and then set a pin. Though, if the person can access your account and you don't have a pin, theres not a big advantage to setting up a pin unless they wanted to hijack the account as opposed to loot it, in which case the pin would keep you from salvageing stuff by sending it to a secondary account. If your wondering why my resoning is ignoreing trade limits, its because pins were added before the trade limit so I must assume that it was never a consideration. The arguments pretty week though. I actualy have no clue why its that way.
