Melee VS Ranged

Well, ive made a char for f2p pvping but i CAN'T DECIDE what to make the char.

 

 

 

I got 10 attack, 12 strength, 1 defence and 12 ranged so far on it but i don't know what to make it:

 

10 attack and 60 strength pker, 11-12 damage with steel scim when potted.

 

Or just a range pure(40-50 range), ive heard rangers are the best.

 

 

 

The problem is that i worry that the meleer won't hit as offen and that the ranger will waste to much cash on arrows.

 

Please help me :)

I think that the best is to get a high range lvl, str lvl, and 40 attack. Range them down to low hp, and use a r2h for the KO.

Scimitar/2h combo is probably the most effective. For now you should go for 20 attack, around 40-50 str, and 50 range. Then move on to 40 attack and as high as your str and range you can go.

im not a fan of range+melee since i will get to much hp levels, im gonna go with either one of them.

 

 

 

EDIT: i also dont want to go with addys on a ranger, perhaps steel or mith. waste of cash otherwise :P

Range is the best combat skill because it doens't depend on another. high attack makes you hit, but you wont hit high without strength. Range is like raising attack and strength at the same time.

Both range and melee have there bonuses, but i'd say go for range and just don't go to crazy spending money on the equipment.

Really? ill do 6 damage with steel arrows at 40 range. With addys ill do 8 or so but theres a risk i lose 160-200 gp each time i shoot. Melee i dont lose anything when i attack and when i die i lose 300 gp (steel scimmy). But idk if 10 atk is enough for pvp, thats the question.

Dude the reason i asked for stats on those levels are cause i want to do low dueling first, like level 30, then ill do 40 then 50 and then 60. i dont want to go to 60 right away.
