Armor/Weapon suggestion?

My main account currently uses full rune with a dragon scimitar. I have the following combat stats:

 

 

 

Attack 66

 

Strength 65

 

Defense 60

 

HP 66

 

Prayer 55

 

 

 

I do not have much money because I have the tendency to hoard everything I collect to use for my own skills rather than selling for profit.

 

 

 

Right now my plan is to use the scimi until I have 70 attack and then buy a whip. Is this a good call or is there another weapon I should be working toward? Will the whip be useful with the other stats the way they are or do I need to raise them too before purchasing?

 

 

 

For armor I have no idea what the next step is. Is there an armor set that will be significantly better than rune that costs less than a couple mil?

my advice would be to get 70 atk and posibly str witht he scimmy, then get the whip, purely because you cant train str with the whip. Then get 70 def with the whip, then either train controlled or alternate getting 75 atk, with whip, then 75 str with scim, then back to twhip for 75 def and upwards.

The whip is the best 1 handed weapon, and when combined with a rune defender the best weapon+shield combo in the game. The God Swords are nice, but nothing compared to the Whip+Rune Defender.

As far as armor, will rune be sufficient for a while or should I start looking into saving up for something new? Right now I'm trying to train summoning too so once I get enough charms that will start eating up my money.

For the most part rune works well. It depends on what you're doing. If killing green dragons for money rune works well. If you want charms then i can suggest slaying as that gets you a variety of charms from tasks.

once you get to the 70 mark then barrow sis obviously better, but until then i think you'll be fine with rune. dragons not all its cracked up to be :P

 

 

 

when you do get 70 def torags is cheap and dependable defense, if you use it to make money the repair costs are pretty negligible too. i mean in 15 hours you can make a LOT of money if your dedicated to it.

Best 2H weapon: Saradomin Sword (for strength)
