mr_dude160
In the guide for the quest "Catapult Construction", the directions regarding locating the engineer are incorrect, and vague. 3. Exit the Tyras Camp and head to the Hunting spot through the path: East as far as possible South through the dense forest South through the trip wire East through the dense forest North through the leaf jump West through the pass sticks In the elf lands, there are many opportunities to go East, North, and West, and there are many different locations for the various traps. For a normal sized quest guide, the instructions could stand to go into more detail. A description of where you end up after reaching each point would be helpful, as well as a proper description of where you should end up. (Landmarks, etc.) Another problem with them, they were wrong. In my attempt to follow these, I didn't even end up in the general area of the Catapult Engineer. When I did the quest, the catapult engineer was located in the hunting spot south west of the Elf Camp. (The Hunter logo directly north on the map of the catapult.) Either this means the instructions were completely wrong, or there are multiple locations, depending on the player. A look into this would probably be beneficial, because that part of the quest guide was probably the most confusing. signature

Hello there, couldn't help noticing this particular thread about the 'Catapult Construction' quest. This is one of the many quests in the Elven forests of Isafdar & Arandar I have had problems with. Now I know the instructions may seem confusing which I got to admit I agree with you. If you use this links below I'm sure these might come helpful. I noticed on the quest guide itself provided by tip.it that there is a link saying 'Click here to view the condensed version of the guide'. Now if you have not yet seen this condensed version or have not completed the quest yet I would recommend you take a look at the condensed version and hopefully it might explain things better or help out. Personally I never used the condensed version, even though I did use tip.it's very special map of the surrounding area. Map <!-- m -->http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=isafdar_arandar.htm<!-- m --> Quest <!-- m -->http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=185<!-- m --> Quest (Condensed Version) <!-- m -->http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=ccskeleguide.htm<!-- m --> Hopefully the map should come very useful to you for this quest if you have yet to complete it or even in the nearby future, since it has helped me a lot with all the confusing traps. Hope this helps [crew edit: map has been updated with more distinct paths, hopefully that will help]
